Finally the spring of my life's arrived
rain once cold leaves streaks of light
petals in my garden of every shade
cast away the shadows that winter laid
Long eerie nights of endless prayer
backgroud music was sobs of despair
not even the ghost under my bed cared

இறுதியில்
என் வாழ்வின் வசந்தம் வந்து விட்டது,
எப்போதுமே குளிர் சுமந்த மழை
ஒளிக் கீற்றை
வான வில்லாய் வடிவமைத்திருக்கிறது
எனது தோட்டத்தின்
ஒவ்வொரு நிழலின் இதழ்களும்
கார்காலம் பதித்த தடங்களைத்
துடைத்து எறிந்திருக்கின்றன.
நீண்ட காரிருள் பரவிய
முடிவிலா இரவுகளின்
பிரார்த்தனைகளின் பின்னணி இசை,
எனது கட்டிலின் கீழ் துயிலும்
சாத்தான்கூடப் பொருட்படுத்தாத
ஏமாற்றங்களின் தேம்பல்களாகியிருக்கின்றன.
வாழ்க்கை
என்னை ஆச்சரியத்தில் ஆழ்த்திய ஒருநாளில்
இருண்ட ஏமாற்றமளிக்கும்
வானத்திற்கும் அப்பால்
நட்சத்திரங்களிடம் விண்ணப்பித்திருந்தேன்,
'எனக்கென ஒரேயொரு நாள் தாருங்கள் -
நான் மகிழ்ச்சியில் புன்னகைக்க" என்று
அதனால்.
நானே இன்று உயிருடன் உள்ள
ஒரேயொரு மகிழ்ச்சியான சிறுமி.
மலர்கின்ற ஒவ்வொரு மலரும்
எனது கனவுகளை
நனவாக்குவதாய் உறுதியளிக்கின்றன.
மீண்டும் எப்போதெல்லாம்
கார்காலம் சூழ்கின்றதோ
அப்போதெல்லாம்
எனது ஆத்மாவை
எப்படிப் பாதுகாப்பது என்பதை
நான் அறிந்து வைத்துள்ளேன்
